Meet Karen Christenson

How long have you been with HomeServices Relocation?
October 2023 – still new!
What is the best part of your job?
Working with transferees and their family. I love the relationship between the employee/family, our company and the vendors that we work with. Seeing a move from beginning to end is very rewarding, knowing you are helping them to get settled into the new area. And co-workers with HSR have been AMAZING!
What three hashtags describe you best?
#outgoing
#care (“Kare” is in my name!)
#chameleon (ability to adapt to other people’s behaviors)
If you could go back to any time in history, where would you go and why?
I would have loved to know my grandparents when they were younger. I have a grandpa that died early in life, that I never met. I would love to ask them more questions about our family, our heritage and what life was like when they were younger. And ask more questions about my parents when they were growing up!
What is your favorite movie?
The Sound of Music. I walked down the aisle with my dad at my wedding, to the same song Maria came down the aisle in the movie.
What is a fun fact about you?
I marched in the Rose Bowl parade during my senior year of high school with our marching band.
What would your perfect weekend look like?
Being on a boat on a lake with 80-degree weather and sun!
What is your favorite vacation destination?
We have a timeshare in Aruba and vacation there every winter.
What is the one thing you can’t live without?
Can’t pick just one! Definitely my hubby/family/friends, my flute and a boat!
What is the best advice you have ever been given?
Always treat people as you would want to be treated.
